Celebrate Massachusetts legal sports betting with this Bruins/Celtics championship parlay

It's quite a time to be a Boston sports fan in more ways than one. Friday marks the official first day of mobile sports betting in the state of Massachusetts, an exciting development for a state that loves their sports teams.

Not only is sports betting now legal, but two of their teams, the Bruins and Celtics, are having terrific seasons. The Celtics are second in the Eastern Conference and the betting favorites to win it all this year. The C's went to the Finals last year, falling to the Warriors in six games, but the core is in place to make another postseason run this spring.

Meanwhile, the Bruins have been flat-out dominant. The B's are the favorites to bring home the President's Trophy for best regular-season record and it isn't particularly close. As of Thursday March 9, the Bruins have 103 points in the standings, 17 more than the next closest team.

Like their basketball counterpart, the Bruins are the favorites to hoist the Stanley Cup this June. The Bruins made the playoffs last season as a Wild Card team and fell to Carolina in the first round in seven games.

You can now invest in these teams, and why not do it together?

The Eastern Conferences for both the NBA and the NHL are both looking to be the more difficult paths to the finals, but iron sharpens iron. The Bruins and Celtics have each shown to be elite teams this season, and the Bruins in particular have made a handful of recent trades that suggest they're going all-in on a Stanley Cup run this season.

Individually you can bet on the Celtics to win it at all at +330 on DraftKings and the Bruins at +400. To us, the best way to celebrate Massachusetts finally legalizing mobile sports betting is to parlay the two of them together in what would be a rare NBA-NHL same-city finals sweep.

The odds there come in at +2050 on DraftKings, worth a few bucks to us. This is more than just a celebration of a new state going live. These teams are the two favorites for good reason and have the talent and depth to be the last teams standing come June.

The Boston streets could be crowded by season's end, and TD Garden should get started on the logistics of two teams in their championship series at the same time.
