Wenyen Gabriel is coming off a year where he appeared in 68 regular season games for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Gabriel averaged 5.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest while shooting 59.6% from the field.
He also appeared in ten NBA playoff games as the Lakers made the Western Conference Finals (they lost to the Denver Nuggets).
This summer, he became a free agent and signed a deal with the Boston Celtics.
However, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that Boston has now waived Gabriel.

Gabriel went undrafted in 2018 after two seasons of college basketball for Kentucky.
He has played four years in the NBA for the New Orleans Pelicans, Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Clippers, Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers.
His career averages are 4.5 points and 3.4 rebounds per contest while shooting 53.1% from the field in 145 regular season games.
